Will there be a season 4? It feels like this show has been losing momentum to me.
Season 3 was impressive in how there were only 8 episodes that took 2 years to come out but the writing felt like it ran out of material.
Season 2 dropped the ball about as hard as it could be dropped.
S2 writing is abysmal. They literally ruin great characters for no logical reason.
I fundamentally disagree on every point. It's an incredible show with unparalleled character development and writing. There are some fully Shakespeareian moments in it. It's probably HBO's best since The Wire. No shade on you though. We can like different things. But I realy realy like House of Dragons!
House of the Dragon S2 brings us great scenes that destroy the characters being portrayed.
The white worm told Rhaenyra she was raped so Rhaenyra’s response is to get horny and make out with her.
Alicent decides that she is fine with joining the side that will kill her children. Mother of the year award.
Rhaenyra sneaks into a city that is at war with her and for some reason Alicent didn’t end the war right then and there. Totally brain-dead sitcom level writing.
Seriously, the writers are adapting a book they either hate or it is beyond their ability to comprehend. Why adapt a book from one of the world’s most famous authors only to destroy the material?
