You need more data points to make the assumption that it stayed constant, it could be that the dog grew completely after a year while it took the boy over a decade. I know it’s a ridiculous, unlikely scenario, but without the proper data it’s hard to assert otherwise

How old is this dog??? Dudes in kindergarten in the first photo, but in his 40s in the next one.
I’d guess 5 and 20. That’s a fine old dog, but well within a normal lifespan.
