Works for me too (on Mullvad - Brussels).

Adblocker? Some lists will block dynamic dns providers (badblock for sure has afraid.org). If so you want to exempt that since you legitimately use it.

i’m able to visit freedns.afraid.org on my browser as well

tried it via tor

Doesn’t load in Tor for me either but I suspect their site is simply blocking Tor. The site does load fine outside Tor in the regular clearnet.

9 times out of 10 these sort of things turn out to be a DNS issue on your end, you might want to double-check you’re actually able to query their IP address via nslookup freedns.afraid.org or similar. (assuming you’ve already tried other web browsers to rule out issues with installed extensions or specific browser settings).

edit2: thanks again everyone, you don’t need to check if it’s working. apparently I’m blocked from accessing the site, can’t see any other explanation. DNS resolves fine, flushed caches, tried private mode, clear cookies, tried everything on my end to rule stuff out, nothing

You might run traceroutes/mtr to see where exactly this is failing. Here’s the IP I show in case yours differs:

Acronyms, initialisms, abbreviations, contractions, and other phrases which expand to something larger, that I’ve seen in this thread:

Fewer Letters More Letters
DNS Domain Name Service/System
IP Internet Protocol
NVMe Non-Volatile Memory Express interface for mass storage
SATA Serial AT Attachment interface for mass storage
SSD Solid State Drive mass storage
UDP User Datagram Protocol, for real-time communications

6 acronyms in this thread; the most compressed thread commented on today has 14 acronyms.

Oh great, it’s a bot that hallucinates answers to questions no one asked.

4 answers for one acronym, pat yourself on the back there buddy.

jfc this is so sad because it would actually be hard for a human coder of very little ability to do it this wrong. at least it has its own instance i can block.
