What's your favourite trilogy? π€
Every speculative fiction reader has that one trilogy they can't get over...
For me it's between The Seagulls and Lord of the Rings, Star Wars barely breaks the top 50 ππ

The Lyoness Trilogy by Jack Vance, a convoluted story about war, politics, and world domination.
Fey time shifting is integral to the plot and it has some of the best fey fiction I've ever read, and I read a lot of fey fiction.
Jack Vance came in on the end of the golden age with novels like The Last Castle, To Live Forever, and The Dying Earth (featuring Cugel the Clever). He continued writing until he died in 2013.

@NickEast_IndieWriter@mastodon.art @bookstodon@fedigroups.social @books@lemmy.world @joinin@fedigroups.social @humor@fedigroups.social @humor@lemmy.world @aiop@lemmy.world itβs between Hitchhikers Guide and LOTR, though with LOTR I fell into the rabbit hole and now have 15-20 books on Middle Earth.

For me it's Mary Stewart's Merlin trilogy.
